Introduction

FeelClose ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and take your data protection rights seriously. This policy applies to FeelClose on iPhone and Android.

Data We Collect

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide and operate our service. This includes basic account information required to create and maintain your account.

If you leave your email address on our website to hear when the Android app launches, we store it with the date and page you signed up from. We use it only to tell you when FeelClose for Android is available, never share it, and delete the list once the launch email has been sent. To be removed sooner, reply to any email from us or contact support.

We also count each signup as a request for the Android app. For that count we store a protected hash of your IP address to prevent repeat requests, along with the date and page. We do not store your raw IP address with the request. Your browser also remembers that you signed up so we can show a thank-you message when you return.

Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored on secure servers located in the European Union. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest to protect your information.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

To improve app stability and understand usage patterns, we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. This collects:

  • Crash reports and error logs
  • Anonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, session duration)
  • Device information (model, OS version)

This data is processed by Google (Firebase) and is used solely to improve the app. It is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access - request a copy of your personal data
  • Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure - request deletion of your data
  • Right to data portability - receive your data in a portable format
  • Right to object - object to processing of your data

Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We use trusted service providers (Firebase, Supabase) to operate our service. These providers only process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your information. Your personal data remains private between you and your connected partner.
